What you pay, and what you don't

Scrum Poker Online has three tiers, and two of them are free. You can run a complete estimation session without paying or signing up — the free version isn't a stripped-down trial, it's the whole flow.

Anonymous (free, no signup): create a room, share it by link or QR code, vote on story points, reveal all cards at once, reset for the next story, and clear the room. The interface is available in six languages and works in any browser. This tier shows ads.

Free account: everything above, plus custom card values — T-shirt sizes, a power-of-two scale, or your own — and host controls that decide who can hide, clear, or delete votes. You can sign in with Google, GitHub, Facebook, or Twitter. Still free, and this tier also shows ads.

Premium (40 USD/year): removes ads and adds a built-in voting timer, the automatic average and median of the estimates, an attendance indicator, and a personal reusable room ID. The ad-free experience is tied to the room owner, so one Premium account covers everyone who joins that owner's room — your teammates don't each need to subscribe.

When Premium is worth it — and when it isn't

Premium doesn't change what the tool is; it adds conveniences. It earns its place in two situations: when ads bother your team, or when the timer and the automatic average and median save you enough manual work to be worth it. The timer in particular tends to keep sessions sharp — a three-to-five-minute box per story nudges the team to either decide or split the story instead of circling.

If your sessions already run smoothly without those extras, the free version is genuinely all you need, and we'd rather you stay on it than pay for something you won't use. You can always start free and upgrade later if the conveniences turn out to matter. For the full feature picture across tiers, see the features overview.

Premium is billed through Stripe. There's a yearly plan at 40 USD and a monthly option in checkout, and you can manage or cancel your subscription yourself at any time from the customer portal.

Pricing FAQ

How much does Scrum Poker Online cost?
It's free to use, including without an account. There's an optional Premium plan at 40 USD per year that removes ads and adds a voting timer, automatic average and median, an attendance indicator, and a personal reusable room ID.
What's the difference between the free tiers and Premium?
There are two free tiers. Anonymous needs no signup and covers the whole estimation flow. A free account adds custom card values and host controls. Premium (40 USD/year) removes ads and adds the timer, average and median, attendance indicator, and a personal room ID. Both free tiers show ads.
Does the free version show ads?
Yes. Both free tiers — anonymous and free account — are ad-supported. Premium removes ads, and because the ad-free experience is tied to the room owner, everyone who joins a Premium owner's room sees it ad-free too.
Do all my teammates need Premium?
No. The ad-free experience is tied to the room owner, so a single Premium account covers everyone who joins that owner's room. Only the person who owns the room needs to subscribe.
What does Premium include?
Premium (40 USD/year) removes ads and adds a built-in voting timer, the automatic average and median of the estimates, an attendance indicator showing who's online, and a personal reusable room ID instead of a generated one.
Is there a monthly plan?
Premium is billed through Stripe. There's a yearly plan at 40 USD, and a monthly option is available in checkout. You can manage or cancel your subscription yourself at any time from the customer portal.
Do I need an account to use it for free?
No. The anonymous tier needs no signup at all — you pick a display name and start. A free account is only needed if you want custom card values or host controls; Premium features need a subscription.
Can I cancel Premium?
Yes. Premium is a Stripe subscription, and you can change your plan or cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal. There's no lock-in beyond the billing period you've paid for.
